Three different formats of training will be available during the conference. These include short skills sessions during the conference around career building skills such as presentation and communication skills, and conservation in practice, mentoring and extended workshops of 1-12 days.
The mentoring aims to allow early career researchers to find a mentor who best matches the particular skills they need, and to work with them through the conference on areas which are of most value to mentees.
The final selection of workshops is not yet available, but a tentative list of workshops based on our workshops last year are listed below. Please not that though short skills sessions and mentoring is free, there will be a small cost to cover venue and catering costs during extended workshops, but we will do our utmost to keep this cost to a minimum:
Extended workshops
1). Spatial ecology (5 days)
2). Advanced Linear Modelling (Statistics)(6 days)
3). Innovative Education and Communication for Conservation (4 days)
4). Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis
5). Camera Trapping in the Field (1 day)
6). Pollination (3 days)
7). Advocacy and Conservation (1 day)
Registration for all training sessions will be completed in advance to allow preparations to ensure the most productive sessions for all involved!
